Old Town Temecula Community Theater is settling into a long October run with the musical comedy Dirty Rotten Scoundrels.

The production opens Friday, October 9, with performances continuing across several weekends through October 25.

The City of Temecula calendar lists evening and matinee performances, giving audiences multiple scheduling options.

A multi-week run changes the way locals can approach a theater outing.

Instead of rearranging an entire weekend around a single performance, residents can choose the date that works and build dinner or drinks around it.

The Old Town location makes that especially easy because restaurants and other evening stops are within the same district.

Live theater is one of Temecula’s most useful alternatives to the usual winery-or-restaurant night out.

It gives couples, families and groups of friends an anchor activity that can turn an ordinary evening into an occasion.

October is also a good month to make the walkable Old Town setting part of the experience.

Showtimes vary by date, so audiences should confirm the current schedule and ticket availability through the theater before heading out.

With performances spread across the month, there is plenty of room to fit this particular con game into the calendar.
